A picnic lunch, cold drinks, mats, cushions, an umbrella and just the two of us for about 5 hours…Bliss!
“A definite highlight of our visit was the boat trip to Yawini Beach for a private picnic. What an amazing spot. It was like our own deserted island. They leave you with a 2-way radio in case you need anything too. We’d have loved to have done another picnic or a snorkeling trip but our stay was only short (4 nights), we certainly wished it was longer!
We loved the remoteness of the island, it’s natural beauty and the fact that there are only 18 bures means it’s never overcrowded. We were looking for a relaxed holiday with time to reconnect with each other and you certainly delivered. Thank you Yasawa Island team for such a wonderful time, you have a very special place there and we would love to return one day.” -Fand, traveling from New Zealand
Each day was so memorable and special, it’s impossible to pick which was our favorite!
“Each day there are unique excursions to participate in, or private island beach picnics to enjoy. We did a day trip to The Blue Lagoon caves (where the movie was filmed). The boat ride to the caves was absolutely breathtaking to see all of the islands along the way. We experienced a private beach picnic on the most beautiful beach we have ever seen!. The beach had massive amounts of intact seashells to collect.
We did a village visit, which included taking supplies to a small school and interacting with Fijian children and teachers. Going to the school was heartwarming and so very special. The resort did a lovo dinner where local staff and villagers come to dance and sing for the guests. It was lovely and very special. Lastly, we got to experience a traditional kava ceremony. Aku, the everything Yasawa guru, was a joy to be around and made our experience fun. The entire activities staff was exceptional. They are all on Fiji time, which made it even better.”
Pure paradise experience with perhaps the loveliest local people & culture on this planet!
“Every bit about this was amazing. From the food, to the location, and of course, the loveliest locals I’ve ever known. The locals know how to do happy. The resort is filled with amazing activities including going to the Blue Lagoon Cave or having a picnic on a secluded paradise beach where you’re left to have the entire beach to yourself! Not doing any activities is equally amazing where you can just chill to take in the ocean views which you can never get tired of.”
